The exhibitions for 2027, already defined, complete the first cycle launched with the opening of the Rome space.<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\r\nThe <strong>Fondazione Societ\u00e0 delle Api<\/strong> announces the <strong>appointment of Eva Fabbris as Artistic Director<\/strong>. Already a member of the <strong>Advisory Board<\/strong> since its inception, Fabbris takes on a role that marks a new phase in the institutional development of Societ\u00e0 delle Api, strengthening its curatorial structure while preserving the collective dimension that has characterized the Foundation. Her directorship will help give curatorial form to an already collective approach, which involves the role of artists and curators in shaping the cultural programme.\r\n\r\nThe appointment comes at a particularly vibrant moment for the Foundation. With the opening of its Roman space at via Gregoriana 40 on <strong>14 February 2026<\/strong>, Societ\u00e0 delle Api gave expression to its nature and mission: to welcome and bring together artists, curators and scholars, and to create the conditions for shared projects to emerge through dialogue. On the occasion of the inauguration, <strong>over 70<\/strong> <strong>artists, designers, curators and critics<\/strong> connected to the Foundation were invited to create an <strong>A4-format work on paper<\/strong>. The project translated the principles of belonging, welcome and sharing that characterize Societ\u00e0 delle Api into a simple gesture. During its first year of activity in Rome, this approach found further expression in an exhibition and cultural programme that brought into the public sphere a network of relationships and practices of exchange built over time.\r\n\r\nThis process gave rise to a <strong>first cycle of exhibitions<\/strong>, comprising of both projects already presented and upcoming events, each with its own voice and a different way of interpreting the Foundation\u2019s spaces and ideas. Taken together, the exhibitions outline a founding season: a plurality of perspectives through which Societ\u00e0 delle Api has chosen to introduce itself to the city and develop its contribution to contemporary culture.\r\n\r\n<strong>From 22 April to 23 September 2026<\/strong>, the spaces hosted <strong><em>Soglia \/ Common Acts<\/em><\/strong>, an exhibition presented by <strong>Francis Offman<\/strong> in dialogue with works by artists from the <strong>Silvia Fiorucci Collection<\/strong>. The project brought together artistic practices that explore material, gesture and everyday life, including site-specific interventions by Offman himself.\r\n\r\nOpened on <strong>9 October 2026<\/strong> and running <strong>until 26 January 2027<\/strong>, <strong>Chiara Camoni<\/strong>, <strong><em>I fiori del male<\/em><\/strong>, curated by <strong>Alice Motard<\/strong>, places the flower at its centre, a recurring motif in the artist\u2019s practice, is explored here in its more complex and unsettling dimensions. In dialogue with Camoni\u2019s works, pieces by <strong>Fantine Andr\u00e8s<\/strong>, <strong>Maria Loboda<\/strong>, <strong>Marianne Mari\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Vibeke Mascini<\/strong>, <strong>Lionel Sabatt\u00e9<\/strong>, <strong>Adrianna Wallis<\/strong> and <strong>Yuyan Wang<\/strong> introduce different perspectives and sensibilities, serving as counterpoints to the artist\u2019s practice and broadening the reflections on the flower and its multiple expressive possibilities.\r\n\r\nThe programme will continue:\r\n\r\n<strong>From 13 February to 14 May 2027<\/strong>, with <strong><em>Cinemini<\/em><\/strong>, an exhibition curated by <strong>Marianna Vecellio<\/strong>, which brings site-specific works by <strong>Anna Franceschini<\/strong> into dialogue with objects by <strong>Mathieu Mat\u00e9got<\/strong> and other works from the Silvia Fiorucci Collection. The artist\u2019s research, which spans different languages and media\u2014from film to performance, from kinetic sculpture to photocopying\u2014forms part of the experimental approach that characterizes the Foundation\u2019s programme.\r\n\r\n<strong>From 26 May to 24 September 2027<\/strong>, an exhibition by <strong>Rodrigo Hern\u00e1ndez and Silvia B\u00e4chli<\/strong>, curated by <strong>Oriane Durand<\/strong>, will be presented. The project stems from two periods of residency in Rome, dedicated to observation, study and dialogue. The artists will explore the city together with the curator, and their two distinct perspectives will be reflected in the exhibition.\r\n\r\nThe programme will conclude with an exhibition by <strong>Isabella Costabile<\/strong>, curated by <strong>Ben Broome<\/strong>, <strong>from 8 October 2027 to 21 January 2028<\/strong>. The artist has already taken part in a residency in Rome in June 2026, devoted to artistic research on the themes of the exhibition.\r\n\r\nA range of expertise spanning artistic practice, curating, museum management and publishing has come together around Societ\u00e0 delle Api. Through their exchange, independent projects emerge, contributing to a shared vision.\r\n\r\n<strong>Silvia Fiorucci<\/strong>, founder of Societ\u00e0 delle Api, states: \u201c<em>The appointment of Eva Fabbris as Artistic Director of Societ\u00e0 delle Api brings me back to the spirit in which this initiative was born: the desire to share and expand my passion for art, transforming my personal journey as a collector into a collective experience shaped by encounters, relationships and affection. Eva is one of the people with whom I have shared this journey \u00a0from the very beginning, building a relationship of friendship, mutual esteem and deep affinity over the years. I am therefore particularly happy that today, with her professional experience and curatorial sensibility, she can contribute even more actively to the Foundation\u2019s evolution. Together, we want to continue nurturing the collective and experimental nature that defines us, enriching it with Eva\u2019s vision, which is capable of opening up new perspectives and imagining new forms of art production<\/em>.\u201d\r\n\r\n<strong>Eva Fabbris<\/strong> states: \u201c<em>I have known and been involved with Societ\u00e0 delle Api since its foundation; I have always felt a strong affinity with, and drawn great inspiration from the central place given to artists in its activities and in the spirit that animates it. It is their poetics that nourish the vision with which Silvia devised the prototype for an art project based on encounters and affinities. Until now, Societ\u00e0 delle Api has been characterised by informality and fluid formats; with the opening of the space in Rome, we want to share its sensibilities and outcomes with a wider audience, broadening the scope of dialogue and research. I am delighted to lead this process<\/em>.\u201d\r\n\r\nEva Fabbris will begin contributing to the Foundation\u2019s cultural programming as early as the 2027 season, through the development of discursive content that will complement the exhibition calendar already defined. <strong>The entire programme she conceives will begin in 2028<\/strong>. The development of new projects will proceed alongside the first cycle of initiatives, allowing each research process to unfold in its own time and open up further perspectives.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h3><strong>BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES:<\/strong><\/h3>\r\nEva Fabbris (1979) is a curator and art historian. She was Director of Madre \u2013 museo d\u2019arte contemporanea Donnaregina in Naples from 2023 to July 2026. She holds a PhD in Humanities and has worked in the curatorial departments of Fondazione Prada, Milan (2016\u20132023), Galleria Civica, Trento (2009), and Museion, Bolzano (2008\u20132009). As an independent curator, she has organised exhibitions at Italian and European institutions, including Madre \u2013 museo d\u2019arte contemporanea Donnaregina, Fondazione Arnaldo Pomodoro, Chiostri di Sant\u2019Eustorgio, Triennale Milano, Fondazione Morra, Nouveau Mus\u00e9e National de Monaco and Galerie de l\u2019erg in Brussels. She teaches at NABA \u2013 Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Rome and has given lectures and talks at numerous international institutions, including the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Daimler Foundation in Berlin, HEAD \u2013 Haute \u00e9cole d\u2019art et de design in Geneva, KHiO \u2013 Oslo National Academy of the Arts and GAM \u2013 Galleria Civica d\u2019Arte Moderna e Contemporanea in Turin, as well as at various Italian universities. She is the editorial curator of monographs dedicated to artists, including Uri Aran (Lenz, forthcoming), Tomaso Binga (Lenz, 2024), Diego Marcon (Lenz, 2021), Alessandro Pessoli (Lenz, 2021), Yervant Gianikian and Angela Ricci Lucchi (Humboldt Books, 2017) and Paul Sietsema (Mousse Publishing, 2016). During her tenure as Director of Madre, she curated the exhibitions Kazuko Miyamoto, <em>Il resto di niente<\/em>, Tomaso Binga. <em>Euforia<\/em>, Uri Aran. <em>Untitled (I love you)<\/em> and <em>Gli anni (in three chapters)<\/em>.
