L\u2019approccio di Lempert alla fotografia non si limita a indagare il mondo naturale, ma mette in discussione lo stesso ordine dello sguardo. Formatosi inizialmente come biologo, Lempert esplora i confini tra il mondo naturale e il paesaggio antropizzato, fotografando piante, animali e altri fenomeni naturali con acume scientifico e sensibilit\u00e0 poetica.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I suoi archivi fotografici comprendono un ampio spettro di immagini, dalle visioni quotidiane pi\u00f9 comuni a composizioni che tendono all\u2019astrazione, documentando la natura come soggetto e indagando le propriet\u00e0 e la materialit\u00e0 stessa dell\u2019immagine fotografica. Lempert smonta l\u2019approccio scientifico tradizionale creando mappe e tassonomie visive basate sull\u2019accostamento tra natura antropomorfizzata e vita animale, dando forma a una sorta di nuova vita ibrida.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Le residenze della Societ\u00e0 delle Api a Kastellorizo (GR) e Grasse (FR) offrono un ecosistema peculiare, fatto di interazioni tra natura selvaggia e infrastrutture costruite dall\u2019uomo. In questi luoghi possono essere osservate nuove specie endemiche e habitat profondamente influenzati dall\u2019impatto umano, dalla storia e dai comportamenti degli uomini. La residenza si \u00e8 sviluppata come indagine visiva di questi paesaggi e delle loro forme di vita, dando vita a una serie di fotografie e a una pubblicazione.<\/span>\r\n\r\n<b>Jochen Lempert <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Moers, Germania, 1958) vive e lavora ad Amburgo. Tra le sue recenti mostre personali si ricordano Izu Photomuseum (Giappone, 2016-2017), Vancouver Contemporary Art Gallery (Canada, 2016), Between Bridges (Berlino, 2016), Cincinnati Art Museum (USA, 2015), Hamburger Kunsthalle (Germania, 2013), Lulu (Citt\u00e0 del Messico, 2013), Midway Contemporary Art (USA, 2012), Rochester Art Center (USA, 2012), Museum Ludwig (Germania, 2010) e Culturgest (Portogallo, 2009).
