Pol Taburet - Residency in Rome

Residency

April 3-May 15, 2026 – Rome

Pol Taburet (b. 1997) is currently in residence in Rome at Via Gregoriana 40 as part of a creative stay at Villa Medici, in preparation for his solo exhibition scheduled for May 15, 2026.

Taburet’s practice unfolds as an iconoclastic pictorial language, where references to his Caribbean origins, syncretic traditions, and a reinterpretation of the history of painting coexist. Through a hybrid technique that combines airbrushing and brushwork, the artist constructs images inhabited by hybrid figures, suspended between human and animal, and between the physical and spiritual realms.
