On the occasion of Hypothèse de lecture, the exhibition presented at the Antica Biblioteca of Trinità dei Monti from September 19 to November 7, 2026, and curated by Gaia Bobò and Teresa Ranchino, Società delle Api will host a conversation between the curators and artists Valentine Prissette, currently in residence at Società delle Api, and Federica Di Pietrantonio, among the 40 Italian and French artists involved in the exhibition project.

The conversation will explore the genesis of Hypothèse de lecture and the work that preceded the exhibition, including Valentine Prissette’s summer residency at Società delle Api. Residencies are one of the ways in which the Foundation supports artists’ research, providing them with space and time to work while fostering opportunities for exchange that can take different forms throughout the creative process.

During her stay in Rome, Prissette continued her research into the narrative dimension of objects and the transformation of materials and fabrics into environments suspended between domestic space and theatrical construction. This period of research became intertwined with the development of Hypothèse de lecture and with exchanges with the curators and other artists involved in the project, including Federica Di Pietrantonio.

The conversation will take place at Società delle Api from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Following the talk, the audience will be accompanied to Trinità dei Monti for a private tour of the exhibition with the curators.
